Supervisor as Coach and Motivator: Empowering Teams

Fostering a motivated, engaged, and resilient team is fundamental to providing quality services and achieving program outcomes. And we know the work is hard! Supporting people as they recover from significant traumatic events (e.g., experiencing homelessness) or existing oppressive systems can be challenging, often leading to staff burnout and lack of morale. This course is designed for supervisors aspiring to elevate their leadership capabilities by adopting coaching and motivation techniques to empower their teams.

This course will explore the skills and strategies that will help supervisors effectively become coaches and motivators within their teams. Participants will learn key strategies for coaching that can help supervisors inspire team members to be more effective, productive, and empowered in their roles. This includes strategies for addressing potential burnout and increasing the professional development of team members.
