From Lived Experience to Collective Support: Peer Support and Community Building

Peer relationships and community can be powerful sources of connection and support when lived experience is recognized as an asset. This course explores how participants can intentionally partner with people with lived experience to strengthen peer support and build community.

The course focuses on practical, person-centered strategies for supporting peer connections and collective support while honoring choice, safety, and collaboration. Participants will examine staff roles in fostering community and learn ways to support peer support efforts that are grounded in shared experience and mutual respect.
