Introductory Level

Providing quality housing and services requires a trauma-informed approach. In this foundational webinar, participants will learn how trauma-informed practices can serve as a model for the delivery of housing and services.

This course will explore the principles of trauma-informed care, how trauma shows up and how applying trauma-informed approaches provides a foundation for support to individuals and families that recognizes the impact and effect of trauma on people and how to respond safely and effectively to better meet the needs of tenants.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • What trauma informed approaches look like in practice and the key principles of trauma-informed care

  • The importance of trauma-informed approaches as part of providing quality housing and services

  • How trauma may show up when working with tenants and how to effectively support persons who has experienced trauma

She is committed to sharing the lessons she’s learned over her 10+ years of experience with supportive housing and homelessness responses systems. Lindsey loves to create training experiences that are interactive and focused on problem-solving and building new capacities.

Senior Program Manager Charlesy Nance

Charlesy Nance is a Senior Program Manager within the Southeast Community Development Team for CSH. Charlesy has over 10 years of experience in the social services field, providing direct services to clients of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in an administrative capacity to develop, monitor, and improve service quality, effectiveness, and efficiency. Charlesy has provided training and technical assistance to more than 300 homeless service providers in the fields of HUD Compliance, Coordinated Entry, and the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), among others.
